From Iceland — Björk’s Biophilia Wins Grammy Award

Björk’s Biophilia Wins Grammy Award

Published February 11, 2013

Björk’s Biophilia took home an award at the 55th annual Grammy Awards, which took place yesterday in Los Angeles. Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak, art directors of the release, won in the Best Recording Package category, besting The Alabama Shakes and The Dirty Projectors, among others.
Biophilia was also nominated for Best Alternative Music Album, but that award went to Gotye’s Making Mirrors.
Last night’s win may have broken a streak for Iceland’s sweetheart, as Björk has been ranked 4th place on a list of artists with the most Grammy nominations who have never won. She has been nominated 13 times in total since 1994 when Human Behaviour received a nod for Best Music Video – Short Form, losing then to Peter Gabriel’s Steam.
