Páll Óskar Directs Sex Education Film

Published January 23, 2013

Singer Páll Óskar has directed a short sex education film for children and adults.
The film, entitled “Fáðu ja!” (“Get consent!”), was written by authors Brynhildur Björnsdóttir and Þórdís Elva Þorvaldsdóttir, Morgunblaðið reports. The aim of the film is to explain the difference between sex and violence, examine the affects that porn has on human sexuality, dispel misconceptions about sex and encourage self-respect in relationships.
The film will be shown in every primary and secondary school in Iceland on January 30. On the same day, it will be possible to watch the film on its official site, with subtitles available in English, Polish, Spanish, Danish, Tagalog and Icelandic.
The film, a sample of which (in Icelandic) can be seen in the Morgunblaðið article, is about 20 minutes long, and distributed by Zeta Film.
