Airwaves today announced a stellar bump on the lineup of the 2016 edition.
Santigold, Mabel and Margaret Glaspy join the lineup, which already features PJ Harvey, Julia Holter, The Sonics, Of Monsters And Men, Kevin Morby, Kano, Múm & Kronos Quartet, and lots more.
Another huge announcement is the inclusion of a concert by one of Iceland’s—and perhaps the world’s—top experimental record labels, Bedroom Community. This enclave of vastly creative, outstanding musicians includes Nico Muhly, Ben Frost, Sam Amidon, Valgeir Sigurðsson, and many more, all of whom will combine for a Reykjavík edition of their collaborative Whale Watching Tour show, with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra.
