Samaris Drop First Video From Black Lights LP

Icelandic electronica trio Samaris have dropped the first video from their forthcoming second album, ‘Black Lights,’ which is slated for release on June 10th via One Little Indian.

The album has English lyrics, and comes after a busy few years of international touring and festivals. “Black Lights comes from a wider context than the first album, which was very much an ode to Iceland,” says Jófríður. “It’s the result of all our travelling and playing abroad. It’s much more upbeat, full of life, driven.”

The band have a few international live dates slated before the release, including an April 4th show in Paris, April 5th in London, and a KEXP show in Seattle on April 16th. Full details on those dates, and the album pre-order page, are available on Bandcamp.

You can watch the video, directed by Thora Hilmars and choreographed by Díana Rut Kristinsdóttir, below.
