Artist Philip Ob Rey has created a haunting series of photographs called the “V” HS Project featuring ghoulish figures wandering through the Icelandic countryside.

The “V Monoliths” as the artist calls them, are meant to be “somber giants in the lunar horizons of a frostbitten Iceland.”

In costumes woven from discarded VHS tape, the artist considers a future of scrapped plastic, pollution and consumption.
