The Icelandic Photography Festival is upon us for the third time, and this year it focuses on photo-books. The programme includes exhibitions, talks and portfolio reviews, and takes place at various venues in Reykjavík and Kópavogur. The festival seeks to strengthen the relationship between the Icelandic and international photography scenes, as well as to promote photography as an art medium. Highlights include exhibitions ‘Moods’ by Friðgeir Helgason and ‘Independent Mothers’ by Annie Ling.

The festival starts off at The National Museum of Iceland with the lecture ‘Landmark: The fields of photography’. It starts at 16:00 with a lecture by Holly Roussell Perret-Gentil, curator at the Musée de l’Elysée, Lausanne in Switzerland.
