Twenty Percent Would Vote Best Party To Alþingi

Published September 16, 2011

Twenty percent would vote for The Best Party in parliamentary elections, according to a poll conducted by Market and Media Research (MMR).
DV reports that Best Party Manager Heiða Kristín Helgadóttir is happy with the results considering the party has not officially announced that it is going to run.
When DV asked her whether the party would run in the parliamentary elections she said that the party would do its best if there proved to be interest on the national level.
Furthermore, Morgunblaðið reports that Guðmundur Steingrímsson has been in talks with representatives from The Best Party about cooperating in the parliamentary election. If this is true, Guðmundur would be the first career politician to affiliate with the party.
When MMR conducted this poll in March, twenty five percent said they would vote for The Best Party in parliamentary elections.
