Published September 2, 2013

Baltasar Kormákur’s film The Deep (Djúpið) has been nominated for a European Film Award, and the online voting is now open.
Baltasar’s latest has already been receiving international accolades, which many critics have touted as his best work to date. That success appears to be on an upward momentum, as the film has now been nominated for the People’s Choice category.
Baltasar told Vísir that he was pleased to see The Deep “in very fine company” with the other nominations, adding that, “We are a small nation in this category, so it’d be nice to see as many people take part [in the voting] as possible.”
The first link in this article takes readers to the list of films to choose from for nomination. Voting does require filling out a short form for security reasons, including your name, location and e-mail address.
