Russell Brand In Iceland, Teases Prime Minister

Comedian Russell Brand is now in Iceland, and is already endearing himself to the locals.
RÚV reports that Iceland is Brand’s last stop on his Messiah Complex tour. As a part of his act at Harpa Concert Hall last evening, he told attendees that he felt Icelandic Prime Minister Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson looked a lot like British Prime Minister David Cameron. It is not known if this was meant as a compliment or not.
He also reportedly used the volatility of the Icelandic króna and the “Viking nature” of Icelanders as a part of his material. Although having only arrived yesterday, he is making use of the time well – at the end of the act, he was reportedly taken to Vatnsleysuströnd to watch the Northern Lights.
Russell Brand, apart from comedy, has also been outspoken about a number of social issues, including the UK’s drug policy. Most recently, an interview he took with Jeremy Paxman (seen below) has been hugely popular.
