From Iceland — Reykjavík Music Mess Returns

Reykjavík Music Mess Returns

Published April 30, 2012

The music festival Reykjavík Music Mess is back, and a partial list of this year’s line-up has been announced.
Reykjavík Music Mess premiered last year, featuring acts such as Deerhunter, Mugison, Lower Dens, Sin Fang, kimono, Reykjavík! and Nive Nielsen. Festival founder Baldvin Esra Einarsson told Grapevine last year, “Our company goal is to bring music to the people on every level. And also bring music to us, get to know people that are making it and working in the field the world over. This is a nice way to do that.”
This year is no exception, as an announcement from the organisers tells us:

The independent music festival Reykjavik Music Mess will be held for the second time during the weekend of 25th to 27th of May in downtown Reykjavik. The venues will be two this time around, Faktory Bar and Kex Hostel. Among artist on the schedule are Benni Hemm Hemm, Snorri Helgason, Jarse (FI), Cheek Mountain Thief (UK/IS), My Bubba & Mi (DK), LEGEND, Úlfur & more.

The full line-up will be announced on May 4. On that same day, tickets will be made available for sale at midi.is.
We at the Grapevine are pretty excited about this show, and hope to see you there!
