The Progressive Party is still in the lead to win the general elections taking place tomorrow, RÚV reports.
The leading party is polling at 25.4%, followed by the Independence Party at 22.9%, the Social Democratic Alliance at 14.7%, the Left-Green Movement at 10.9%, Bright Future at 7.6% and the Pirate Party at 6.3%. This would win the Progressive Party 19 seats in parliament, with the other parties getting (respectively) 17, 10, 8, 5 and 4 seats each.
These figures come from a survey taken by Fréttablaðið and Channel 2 television station over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Their sample group was 2700 people out of which they were able to reach 2000. 67.3% of the people they reached responded to the survey.
