Lotto Winner Yet To Come Forward [UPDATED}

Published February 7, 2013

The sole winner of a 127 million ISK lottery prize has yet to come forward to claim their prize after the winning numbers were revealed last night. The winning Víkingalottó ticket had been purchased online and the winning numbers can also be checked online, mbl.is reports.
This is the highest lottery winning ever in Iceland, beating the previous record of 108 million won by a lucky resident of Akureyri in March 2012.
If you purchased a lottery ticket and haven’t yet checked those winning numbers, get online right now – you might be 127 million ISK richer!
UPDATE: The winner has come forward and, while his name has not been released, he is a resident of Mosfellsbær and he is said to be absolutely livid with the news of winning the 127 million ISK jackpot. Nah, just kidding. He’s pretty happy about it and says he’ll do good things for the community. Good for the mystery man from Mosfellsbær!
