Icelandic Video Project Becoming YouTube Hit

The final project of a group of animation students has started to pick up considerable popularity on YouTube, possibly for its references to 80s and 90s styles of cartoons.
The video in question, Vísir reports, was made by Þorvaldur S. Gunnarsson, Ágúst Kristinsson and Arna Snæbjörnsdóttir, with Friðfinnur Oculus Sigurðsson doing the music.
As the final project for these students at the Animation Workshop in Denmark, they decided to go with an animation sequence that references the style of cartoons most often seen in the late 80s and early 90s.
At the time of this writing, it has already received just over 277,000 views in its first week. The entire video can be seen here:
