Icelandic Company Makes Revolutionary Prosthetics for US Vet

The Icelandic company Össur has designed and created a pair of
state-of-the-art prosthetic legs for a US veteran of the Iraq War.
FOX News reports that Lt. Col. Greg Gadson, who lost both of his legs above the knee when his convoy was hit by an IED two years ago in Iraq, is very pleased with the prosthetics.
(The prosthetic’s) intelligent,” Gadson said
last week from his home in Virginia. “It gauges my weight, my speed . .
. It’s the closest thing to normal legs that I’ve experienced.”

Össur has been making prosthetics and orthopedic products for many years now, but has lately been putting more focus onto smart design technology in the field of prosthetics – an (albeit unfortunately) thriving industry.
You can see the video of Gadson using his new legs here.
