From Iceland — Iceland Assists Elections in Macedonia and Moldova

Iceland Assists Elections in Macedonia and Moldova

Published March 18, 2009

Two Icelandic officials will be travelling to the European countries to help with the supervision of elections.
The officials will travel first to Macedonia for the presidential elections which take place this Sunday. They will then, a week later, travel to Moldova to supervise the parliamentary elections, which take place on 5 April.
Their work is a part of Iceland’s participation in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Iceland will in all likelihood take part in five such trips this year.
