Highlights from the Iceland Film Festival:Hip Hop, Hora!

Swedish screenwriter and director Teresa Fabik’s film Hip Hop, Hora! (English title: The Ketchup Effect) tells the story of 13-year-old Sofie, who is willing to do anything to fit in at her new high school. After having too much to drink at a party, Sofie passes out, only to be photographed in various pornographic ways by her ruthless schoolmates. Her school is wallpapered with these dirty photos, making Sofie a social outcast. With talented actors, good script and poignant editing, Hip Hop, Hora! was arguably the strongest movie in this year’s Iceland Film Festival.
