New Poll: Government Holds

Published February 2, 2010

According to the latest Gallup poll, the ruling coalition of the Social Democrats and Leftist-Greens would stand if elections were held today.
The poll indicates that both parties have 25% support each, showing an increase in support for the Leftist-Greens. This gives the current coalition a support level of 50%.
The Independence Party ranked at about 33%, while the Progressives came in at 14%. The Movement ranked a dismal 1.7%, and all other parties combined had about 4%.
The most surprising result, however, was that about 10% said they would submit blank ballots. Traditionally, this is done to express a vote of no confidence in any party running.
