Finance Minister Most Trusted Politician

Finance Minister Steingrímur J. Sigfússon is the most trusted Iceland politician, according to a new survey from MMR.
37.7% of respondants named Sigfússon as the politician they trust most, an all-time high for him. Following close behind is Prime Minister Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir with 36%, down from 58.5% in February. 40% said they have little trust for either politician.
19.4% said they trusted Progressive chairman Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugson, while 18.3% said they trusted Independence Party Bjarni Benediktsson. 50% said they had little trust for either man. Birgitta Jónsdóttir of the Civic Movement was trusted most by 7.4% of respondants, while 63% had little trust for her.
Among those who said they claimed they would vote for their respective parties in the next elections, Sigfússon is trusted by 93.2% who intend to vote Left-Green, Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir is trusted by 82.9% of those who intend to vote for the Social Democrats, Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson is trusted by 67.1% of those who intend to vote Progressive, and Bjarni Benediktsson is trusted by 60.1% of conservatives.
