Democrats to Give Money Donated by Alleged Fraudsters to Charity

Helga Ingvarsdóttir and Vickram Bedi – a couple in the US (half of which is Icelandic) who are facing charges of grand larceny – at one point donated 20,000 USD to the Democratic Party. This money will now be given to charity.
As reported, the couple convinced composer and heir Roger Davidson that he had a virus on his computer, planted by evil forces out to kill him. Over the course of six years, the couple extorted Davidson for around 20 million USD. They were both arrested last week and are in police custody.
At one point, however, they donated 20.000 USD to the Democratic Party, which gave them the opportunity to get their photo taken with Barack Obama. When the White House was contacted for a statement on this matter, reporters were told that the money the couple donated will be given to charity.
Apparently, Bedi has also granted an interview from prison, where he maintains his innocence. He says rather that Davidson is paranoid and addicted to pornography.
The entire bizarre story of this couple and their relationship with Davidson can be read here.
