Workers at the Tungudal ski area have put together a compilation video of what their job entails on a daily basis through the season.

Westfjords news service Bæjarins Bestu reports that the ski area is closed today due to poor weather conditions. The snow is said to be too wet, making skiing impossible and slope maintenance extremely difficult.

However, if the current weather forecast for the region holds up, temperatures should drop in the northwest overnight. This will open the slopes for skiing tomorrow.

If you do not live in or cannot access the Westfjords, but still want to go skiing, there are still numerous locations around the country at your disposal.
