Candidates Submitted To Parliament

Fifteen political parties have submitted their lists of candidates for the upcoming general elections on April 27, RÚV reports.
Out of these parties, eleven have candidates running in ever constituency: the Progressive Party, the Left-Green Movement, the Right Green People’s Party, the Independence Party, the Rainbow Party, Dawn, Bright Future, the Pirate Party, the Household Party, the Icelandic Democratic Party and the Social Democratic Alliance.
Three of the parties, the Rural Party, the Humanist Party, and the People’s Front of Iceland, have candidates running in only some of the constituencies.
The final party is the single-person party Sturla Jónsson that has submitted to run only in the Reykjavík South constituency. The National Electoral Commission is reviewing the validity of this submission and will announce its decision on Wednesday.
