Busy Night For Police In Reykjavík

Published June 23, 2013

The police were busy tending to a bunch of people under the influence of one thing or another throughout the night on Saturday, RÚV reports.
Two drivers were stopped for drunk driving and, around midnight, another driver was stopped for driving 93 km/hour on Miklabraut and was found to be under the influence of drugs. Reykjavíkings didn’t all take to the streets while inebriated, though. The police were also called out to seven different locations throughout the city in response to noise complaints filed by neighbours who have had it up to here with all the racket.
So how about we all give the cops (and our fed-up neighbours) a break next weekend and just have a quiet night in.
