From Iceland — British Couple Robbed In Reykjavík

British Couple Robbed In Reykjavík

Published April 10, 2013

A British couple vacationing in Reykjavík left the country with a bad taste in their mouths after being robbed prior to their departure for Keflavík International Airport.
According to The Press, Rob and Nadine Temple were waiting in their hotel lobby around 5:30 AM for a shuttle to take them back to the airport. When they stepped away from their luggage a man made off with a bag containing their passports, money, credit cards, iPad, car key, and plane tickets.
Things only went downhill from there, as the British Embassy in Reykjavík wouldn’t issue emergency passports without money and then the bank wouldn’t give the couple money that had been wired to them from Rob’s mother without proper identification, which had been stolen. Finally when the couple was able to board a flight and get back to the U.K. they landed at Heathrow Airport, while their car was parked in Manchester.
What’s with all the thieving? Can’t we all just get along?
