Ben Stiller Dives In Þingvellir

Published August 27, 2012

Actor and comedian Ben Stiller went diving in Silfra, in Þingvellir National Park, and was by all accounts pleased with the experience.
Stiller is currently in Iceland for the filming of The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty. Among other places in the country, he was in Stykkishólmur on Saturday night.
He has also been very taken with Iceland, recently telling talk show host Jimmy Kimmel that he found Iceland “beautiful”, adding, “The sun never goes down there, and people are … very good looking.” When asked if it was a good thing that the sun never goes down, Stiller replied, “It is when the people are good looking.”
Among other ways that he has enjoyed his time here has been scuba diving, apparently, as this Instagram photo attests. Here, he describes the water as “the clearest water in the world”.
Stiller is not the first celebrity to go scuba diving in Silfra, though – Tom Cruise and his son Connor did the same last June.
