80 Icelanders In ‘Noah’ Film

Published June 17, 2013

When the Darren Aronofsky flick ‘Noah’ was filming in Iceland last year 80 Icelanders participated as extras. Many of the participating locals were members of the fitness club Mjölnir, which specializes in mixed martial arts training.
As much of the film, which retells the biblical tale of Noah and his arc, and stars Russel Crow and Emma Watson, was filmed in Iceland Aronofsky is rumoured to be eager to pre-screen the flick in the country, RÚV reports.
The ‘Requiem for a Dream’ and ‘Black Swan’ director has said that he found the Icelandic landscape to be very inspiring while filming ‘Noah.’
