2 Women Among Highest Paid CEOs

Published July 26, 2013

A list of the highest paid CEOs in the country has been released and it includes just 2 women.
Rannveig Rist, CEO of Rio Tinto Alcan, and Guðbjörg Edda Eggertsdóttir, CEO of Actavis, command salaries that have earned them the 5th and 6th spots on the list of 50 highest paid CEOs in the country, RÚV reports.
The top spot has been claimed by Finnur Árnason, Hagar CEO, who rakes in 8.5 million ISK monthly. Yes, monthly. He’s followed by Bónus CEO Guðmundur Marteinsson, making 7.6 million ISK monthly; Jón Guðmann Pétursson, Hampiðjan CEO, earning 7.4 million ISK; and Banana CEO Kjartan Már Friðsteinsson, pulling in 5.9 million ISK per month.
Rannveig makes 5.8 million ISK, and Guðbjörg makes 5.7 million ISK monthly.
Good for them.
