Watch Björk’s Volcanic New Video

“I shuffle tectonic plates around in my chest,” begins Björk’s geology imagery-heavy ‘Biophilia’ track ‘Mutual Core’.
The video for ‘Mutual Core’, which was launched last night at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, makes good on that imagery.
A blue-haired Björk, submerged in a pit of quicksand, observes airborne volcanic rocks emerge from the sand only to get affectionate with one another before erupting all over the place.
The video, produced by Sagafilm and directed by Andrew Thomas Huang, can be streamed from the MOCA youtube channel.
‘Mutual Core’ is one of thirteen songs which received the remix treatment for Björk’s new album ‘Bastards’, out November 19 on One Little Indian.
